I need a little more structure and planning in my sewing, and how better to do that than joining a sew-along? Just in time for the official start I’m making my plan for the Summer Essentials Sew-along, hosted by Ali of the wardrobe, reimagined; Sarah of rhinestones & telephones and Alessa of farbenfreude.

So far, I haven’t really planned anything specific yet. Just what I want to make: 2 skirts, 2 tops, 1 dress and 1 knitted cardigan. Colours? Patterns? Fabrics? I’m not so sure yet, although I am leaning towards a pallette of (off)white, mustard, navy, and leatherish-brown (cognac?). Perhaps not the most exciting choices, but very wearable. I have some off-white eyelet fabric that would make an adorable little blouse.
